Among the many commitments she embraced, the Red Cross held a special place in her heart, reflecting her deep compassion and belief in service to community. Through her work there, and in every act of giving, she embodied a spirit of servitude that was both humble and profound, leaving behind a legacy of love, selflessness, and enduring care.

I am so very sorry to hear of Sue’s passing. She was a truly lovely woman—so caring, genuinely kind, and always wanting the very best for everyone she met. I remember the last time I was in Inverell, seeing her at Mass, and how warmly she insisted on inviting my brother and his sons, my mum, and my family to dinner with Shayne at a restaurant downtown. Sue had a special gift for bringing people together. The world has lost a very good person, and my thoughts are with you all at this sad time.
