RFBI Community Appeal: Standing with Nepal
At RFBI, compassion, care and community are at the heart of everything we do.
Like many Australians, we have been saddened by the devastation caused by the recent floods in Nepal. Families have lost loved ones, homes, livelihoods and access to essential services, with many communities now facing a long road to recovery.
Nepal also holds a special place within the RFBI community. We are proud to have many Nepalese team members across our workforce, and we know that this disaster has deeply affected people with family, friends and personal connections in the impacted regions.
In response, RFBI is supporting the Australian Red Cross Nepal relief effort and inviting our residents, clients, families, staff, volunteers and supporters to help those affected through a donation to the Australian Red Cross Global Emergency Fund. The fund is currently directing support to communities impacted by the Nepal flash floods and helping provide emergency assistance and recovery support.
Your donation helps people recover safely and with dignity. That support may include:
- Emergency assistance including search and rescue, first aid and ambulance transport
- Distribution of relief supplies and drinking water to affected communities
- Helping people to restore contact with family members separated by the crisis
- Specialist aid workers to assist local teams to respond
- Working in affected areas to support communities to recover from this disaster, and build their resilience to future ones.
- Monitoring and evaluation of the humanitarian operation.
