I'm fundraising for Australian Red Cross
As a coping strategy for a trauma I experienced last year I decided to do a community service activity. I thought it would help me get better. I began giving plasma. I gained a great deal of personal satisfaction and I was a little bit proud of myself. It definitely helped me recover. Then something really cool happened. I continued giving even though I was feeling better. I came to realise that to be in a mental and physical place which allowed me to give rather than receive is a privilege. So, when I saw this opportunity to cash that privilege in I decided to jump at it.
I’ve joined The Human Race, a challenge that acts for humanity by supporting the work of Australian Red Cross. I’m going all in to help Red Cross be there to protect the 26 million people in Australia when a crisis occurs.
No one should have to face a crisis alone. Extreme weather events and emergencies won’t stop, and neither will I. When you support my efforts in The Human Race, you’ll be making sure that Red Cross can be there for vulnerable people and communities when it matters most.
Thank you for supporting me.
