Let’s help people impacted by the Middle East Crisis
Hi,
I've decided to run a fundraiser to support the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement in response to the humanitarian crisis in the Middle East. Having deployed as a nurse three times to Gaza, this cause is very close to my heart.
After 18 months of devastating conflict in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, the grief and suffering of millions is profound and heartbreaking.
Acts of violence by Hamas in Israel and military hostilities in Gaza have led to a dire humanitarian situation.
Civilians continue to bear the brunt of the heavy fighting with tens of thousands killed, injured, or missing.
The destruction of essential infrastructure and the collapse of basic services—including healthcare—have reached catastrophic levels.
Civilians including families and communities have continued to be torn apart. Many people are struggling to survive amidst the ongoing hardship and challenges they face including active hostilities, widespread displacement, and a scarcity of resources. There is relentless human suffering.
