Thank you so much for remembering Dad with your donations to the Australian Red Cross.  We are so very touched by your generosity and your support of this incredibly worthwhile cause!!

Not only have funds been raised in Dad's name, as documented on this page, but we have also been thrilled to hear of those that have gone to their local blood bank and made a donation of life giving blood.

Thank you to Cathy in Fremantle and Zoe and Leisa in Newcastle who have let us know of their donations.  

We'd love to hear from any of you who have been inspired to donate blood as a result of Dad's Memorial page.

Paul's Journey

Thursday 18th Jun
Dad was diagnosed with myelodysplasia syndrome about 4 years ago - a disease related to leukaemia that interferes with the bone marrow's production of blood cells.

The lack of red blood cell production required him to have blood transfusions every 2 - 6 weeks over the last 3 years and whilst he would become very tired as he approached each transfusion he was able to continue to participate in life, and find joy in his family and friends, until only a few weeks before his passing on 13 June 2026.
